Minimum Bids at Godaddy Auctions
Thane

I am eyeing a domain name that I had backordered, but it just went to auction (not sure why the backordering didn't work). The auction is for a month. No one has bid, but in the box where you are supposed to enter a bid it says "Offer $300 or more". It's not like someone just offered $290. Is this $300 amount just a suggestion, or is it a real minimum that has been set by the current owner (assuming it hasn't expired -- though I thought it did expire)? Can I bid $12 and get it, or must I bid at least $300?

Check the whois information. I'd bet that someone else now owns the domain and is selling it.
