NOTE: This is posted on January 5, 2012 -- don't know how long it will last -- but I just found a promo code for $5.99 for new .COM domain registrations at GoDaddy: cjc599V ...($6.17 with ICANN fee), best promo price I've seen from GD in a while!

That's probably because they're bleeding money after the #sopasucks campaign @namecheap had recently. I previously had over 100 domains with GoDaddy but they suck. Now namecheap has them.... bye-bye NoDaddy!
