Hello. I’m trying to determine the most utilized domain extensions per country. Most have two or more. For example, Japan uses .jp and .co.jp, which one is more widely used? I need this same answer for the following countries: Canada, UK, Australia, Germany, Spain, Japan, France, Brazil, China, Russia, and the Netherlands. Thank you for your help! Best - Rob

for the uk the most common extensions are:
.com
.co.uk

Canada - .ca
UK - co.uk & com
Australia - .com.au
Germany - .de
Spain - .es
Japan - .co.jp & .jp
France -.fr
Brazil - .com.br
China - .com.cn, .cn & .com
Russia - .ru
Netherlands - .nl
Well, they're the ones I use!
.eu is now a very good one for an international business, it's picked up rapidly by the search engines and, for me, is on par with com/net
I also use .asia for obvious reasons plus .co.in but that tends to only rank in Google.co.in whereas .in ranks well in Google.com
If you're branding don't forget .tel and possibly .mobi depending on your type of business.
