I have a photo site where the main content and info pages have say the URL www.photos.com. These pages all link to a 3rd party hosted gallery with my other domain redirected to it www.photos.co.uk.
Visitors to the .com end of the site can see the URL change to the .co.uk when they enter the gallery. Both sites have very similar layouts to make them look like the one site and both have the same favicon.
There's nothing sneaky or untoward about them being linked and I've listed both sites in my visitors sitemap so that visitors can navigate between the two easily.
The sites and project have been up and running for around 18 months and the main reason I set things up like this is because I wanted to be found with both the .com and the .co.uk URLS.
I may well be asking this a bit late in the day but - Is what I'm doing in any way going to cause me problems with the search engines?
If I had to change things what would you suggest?
I have both domains listed with Webmaster tools and get stats for both - if I had to remove the .co.uk from webmaster tools would google then provide stats for the .co.uk site as part of my .com stats?
Would really appreciate your thoughts and suggestions.
