About address location of an addon domain
Will status bar show address location from main domain or addon domain?

Msg#: 4246717 posted 5:25 pm on Dec 28, 2010 (gmt 0)

Hello everyone,
Suppose I added an addon domain - example2.com on my hosting account with parent domain - example.com
Now, if I opened example2.com in browser(and it's pages) will status bar show the address from parent domain (like example.com/example2/page.htm) or will it show from addon domain only (like example2.com/page2.com)? Here I'm not talking about address bar, I'm asking about status bar; it shows the location/addresses of components and server location as found and retrieved.
I'm asking this because I have an hosting account that doesn't allow any addon domain. So what I basically did was, I created a directory in parent_html and pointed that directory to domain from domain panel DNS. Now that second domain directs properly to it and also address-bar shows the same, but status bar shows the addresses from parent domain.
[all this with respect to cPanel]

Will be really grateful if you could explain this to me.

First - welcome to the board.

It all depends on what hosting panel you are using. I think you are going to have to 'just try it' and see what happens.

Cpanel? Ensim? Plesk?
