Monte's a great guy, pleasant and business like even for small fish such as myself.
Moniker et al without without Monte is kinda like MS without Gates or linux without linus.
I wish all the best to Monte going forward.

Moved all my domains to Moniker after meeting Monte at a Pubcon a few years back. Great guy.

Oh no. I like Monte which is why this is not good for my domains. I'm sorry to be so negative here but moniker/oversee are totally headed downhill (I have over 100 domains there). Support is either non-existant or garbage when I need it, the software is totally wonky (have to type a filter in *twice* just to get it to stick, etc), and I've had problems with their DNS on several occasions. My guess is this is probably the final nail in the coffin.

Monte helped me rescue a domain name from a bad registrar several years ago. He didn't know me, but he responded to a question of mine on a domain forum and offered to help. No strings attached - He got my domain for me. I wasn't even a Moniker customer at the time.
After that, I transferred all my domains to Moniker and have recommended them to maybe hundreds of businesses.

I was checking this forum to see if others thought the same about Moniker headed downhill. Let's hope he does start another one... Moniker is just not what it used to be. I am definately looking for a new registar to work with.

Monte is now at Right of the Dot, a new company founded by Michael Berkens. They will be offering consulting to help businesses setup their own new gTLD.

Moniker.com turned from the best domain registrar to such a horrible experience that I am moving all my domain names away from them.
Support doesnt exist anymore even for me with my VIP client status.
Oversee's management is playing with the fire and have already killed Moniker.com
Before they have killed Snapnames.com
