Hello,
I just want to share an unusual thing:
I am doing a daily import of the alexa and quantcast top million site list. Just to see some global trends on populair domain names.
Today i noticed 387,000 new domains in the quantcast list where normally there are less then 100. The first new site has a ranking near the 1000.
There are also almost 310,000 updates in the quantcast list for existing domain names.
Conclusion: 39% new domain names and 31% updates in the quantcast top million list today.

Interesting find/observation.
Isn't it "standard operating procedure" for the system/design/sys-quality engineers of large automated/algorithmic systems (Google, etc) to design and run tests of "system improvements" . . which tests sometimes (oftimes?) result in "quality hiccups"? :P and :-/
Might that be what your seeing? Merely a hiccup whilst they try something new? What's the buzz if it's abnormal? Are the company reps speaking up?

It could be a quality "hiccup" or something like that..i dont know.
We will see the next couple of days if a lot domain names will be removed from the index.
