You are not stupid. Backordering is no guarantee you will get it. In my opinion some backordering systems are border line scams.

Thanks. Ya I really didn't want to do a godaddy backorder because you don't even get the money back if you don't get it. Then, all the other backorders were $70. I was watching it on namejet.com and no-one backordered before the required time. I figured people usually backorder at every possible place if they are going to do it at all, but I guess not.

I think there is a novel story somewhere about backordering domain names. People wonīt start murdering each other for a good domain name just yet, but thatīs why itīs possibly both crime and scifi material :)
