.es domain (Espana) - What is required to register a .es domain?

Hi all,

This question is for any American resident that has or has tried to get a .es domain name.

I was curious as to what obstacles you have encountered. In my short research, I have found that I will need an NIF number.

Anyone have any experience in this?
