| Is this greed motivated. Or is godaddy spending to much time on the track. |
| Possibly US Dollar depreciation? The standard price I see is about Euro 10.00 which, as of today, is USD 15.11.

I side with greed eurid reduced prices from 5 to 4 euro. Godaddy raises prices from $11.99 to $14.99 4 weeks or so before they know hugh renewals will take place. 4 euro is 6.06942 USD (1.51) so theres a 8.93 markup? bit excessive? 150% but thats only my opinion. Somebody hit the wrong button on that backend pricing structure system....you know the price range one...lol adds 100`s of dollars to my renewal fee`s think my time will bew better spent looking for a new registrar....my 2 cents..

I don't object to my registrar making a profit since they do have on-going maintenance costs and give me a lot of freebies and keep me informed all the time as to the status of all my domains. After my reseller discount I actually pay Euro 6.67 therefore I must be doing reasonably well then!

reseller account - is this the account you pay upto $229 a year for...emm not really a discount is it... been there... Huskypup your not really in a position to comment since there not your registrar there your business partner. sorry for being blunt. There tactic is just niggling me (greed)... and I will be moving my domains...and will pass the knowledge on shortly.

I agree with HuskyPup, this seems like a fair revaluation of their pricing based on the sliding dollar.

| Hmmm...not sure what you mean? I deposit funds with my registrar, depending upon the time of year I'll deposit USD 500~1000.00, and I automatically get extra credits amounting to a 33% discount. I don't pay a fee or anything else, it's a good deal and has worked for me for several years. | There tactic is just niggling me (greed) |
| Whilst I appreciate your angst do you not feel it is fair that they are allowed to make a profit? I do assume you work for money? Likewise, apologies for being blunt:-) [edited by: HuskyPup at 6:41 pm (utc) on Mar. 5, 2008]

Okay, I'm putting this thread "out to pasture" since it's looking more like a grievance thread and less like an educational thread or "thread of any community benefit" the longer it lingers. Please take a moment to read or re-read the Charter as it helps explain my decision. Thanks. [webmasterworld.com...] [edited by: Webwork at 9:50 pm (utc) on Mar. 6, 2008]
