|How long can a domain registrar hold deleted domains?|
| 9:31 pm on Feb 17, 2008 (gmt 0)|
I have a unused domain of little value which I let expire, as an experiment of sorts, on who would pick it up after me, and maybe eventually buy it back myself.
It has been over a month and GoDaddy is still showing their landing page with the message that the domain is marked for deletion.
I highly doubt the page is getting m/any hits if any at all.
How long does GoDaddy usually hold onto expired domains? Can they do it for a whole year without spending any money?

Barring exceptions (e.g. legal dispute), about 12-14 days after expiration. No.
The 12-14 days is based on their service agreement. Might be changed.
