| How long can a domain registrar hold deleted domains?

It has been over a month and GoDaddy is still showing their landing page with the message that the domain is marked for deletion. I highly doubt the page is getting m/any hits if any at all. How long does GoDaddy usually hold onto expired domains? Can they do it for a whole year without spending any money?

| Barring exceptions (e.g. legal dispute), about 12-14 days after expiration. No. The 12-14 days is based on their service agreement. Might be changed. David
