um, thanks Quadrille, but Google doesn't really inform me about my questions - I was looking for a recommendation... For example, if I used our friend Google to register domain names in certain countries, I'd pay big bucks to certain registrars for domains that can be had directly with the local country NIC at a fraction of that cost.

Apologies; I didn't read carefully enough.

Generally "we don't do registrar recommendation" threads (promotional spam concerns, etc.) however, since threads about .com.py domains are a rarity I'd invite anyone with insight to post up. I think I've seen reference to just about every ccTLD domain in my Register.com commercial client interface. In a pinch you might check with Register.com. Anywhere else?

These people have them listed however they seem very expensive! [combell.com...] If I find anything else I'll let you know.

I'm beginning to think this is expensive: [marcaria.com...] [bb-online.co.uk...] [rwgusa.com...] There seems to be quite a few around that claim to be able to register however none of them are the prices we're used to!

Ok, this site seems to have many less common country domain names available: [web-solutions.dk...] Once again they're not at all low cost however if one must have that elusive name!

Thanks everyone! :) And yes, I have seen those high prices. While at nic.py, the cost is announced clearly at $37! I am continuing my investigations ...!
