There was a time, not so long ago, where Google suggested that inbound links from quality human edited directories were ~beneficial. Not unexpected, those who operated human edited directories began to promote their directory (and it's quality) based upon Google's suggestion that "~such listings are beneficial". Not too long after the directories "used Google" to promote themselves Google removed its comments about listings in quality human edited directories. So, where do things stand? Probably about where they stood before everyone in the directory industry started talking . . too much . . about the express G endorsement.

I hope you haven't purchased a listing there since business.com is going to be dismantled soon.
