| Spam from email addresses used for directory submissions

msg:3652501 | 12:00 pm on May 17, 2008 (gmt 0) | It seems not all directory sites are equal and if you are submitting to some, including well known directories, you may be advised to use an email address which can be controlled at a later date for spam. For example a very professional looking group of UK directories is happy to allow your submission email address to end up on the distribution lists of some of the most prolific spammers on the net. A unique email for each submission makes later identification of these directories straightforward and the subsequent spam a lot easier to control. ;)

msg:3652529 | 1:25 pm on May 17, 2008 (gmt 0) | Ooooo . . this is a bit of underhanded nonsense that I would not have expected. WebmasterWorld tends to avoid "naming names" but I have to imagine that news of his practice is making its way around the WWW or soon will be.
