of Category X? I'm guessing I can't become an editor of that category and then approve my own site, right? :p

Also, I heard you can re-submit to DMOZ ONCE after 6 months from the initial submission. Or is there some way to contact the editors and say: "Look at my site again please!" ?

Thanks

Hi Longbow,
Welcome to WebmasterWorld. Enjoy.

You should do some serious reading in this forum about what is going on with ODP.

Once you submit, leave it alone. If they include it, they will. Move on and work on your linking program.

No, you can't become an editor just to approve your own sites.

No, you can't become an editor just to approve your own sites.
That you own a website that fits a category doesn't prevent you from becoming an editor for it. Do declare it in your application if you apply though.

However, editors must take their website owner hats off at the door and edit fairly. If you think you can do that, go ahead and apply (when the application link is working again).

Additionally to what jimnoble said, you might want to have a look at ODP's Conflict of Interest guidelines [dmoz.org].
