With the shift in Google going from 'quantity' to 'quality' it is widely speculated that yahoo's directory is a primary source for a quality/trust-worthy link.

i'd spend my money elsewhere to be honest and as for google going from quality to quantity, i have not noticed this at all.

I'm not fully sure yet of the value, but having our meta title replaced in the SERP's with the directory title that Yahoo edited for us has provided us with disadvantages, because the new title is not as prominent in the listings.

not sure if it's still the case, but last time I checked Yahoo Germany only charged a one-time fee. But I'm not sure if they'll accept non German language sites.

This actually reflects a big question that I have. I recently did a redesign for a client, and was kind of surprised that their title hadn't changed in Yahoo yet. It then occured to me that they were listed in Y's directory for the particular industry that they're in, but the title doesn't reflect the keywords I optimized the title with. So does this mean that their homepage will never be indexed in Yahoo with the title that I provided? Is there a way to circumvent this? The bigger reason why I was hired was to improve their search engine rankings.

Where can you submit a site to Yahoo Germany? I only see a blank page and no way to submit.
