We are in need of having a sql server 2008 r2 (standard edition) in a single server. The processor is core i5 with 4 cores. How much will it cost (yearly basis)

You generally need a PhD to figure out Microsoft's licensing schemes...

It depends on how you're going to use it- internal connections only (probably need Server/CAL licensing) or connecting with a web server (probably need per processor licensing). If going with a per processor license, you could get a license for all 4 cores, or you could license fewer and configure SQL Server not to use the extra cores for DB tasks.

Licensing costs are a 1-time deal, not yearly.

Costs can vary depending on where you buy them.
