Coppermine & SMF - 1 login ?
merge two database login

I have a Coppermine Gallery and a Simple Machines forum but logging into both is a pain for my visitors.
Is it possible to merge the two U:P databases ? If so, can anyone point me to a tutorial or FAQ where I can read up please.

Thank you in advance.

I'm not familiar with a concerted effort ... you may have to roll your own code for this one. Anybody else have any experience here?

I've had a similar inclination before now, using smf as I do. I think you might try asking the nice folk at smf forums for where to start with using their login for other things too, being a nice friendly open source team.

I'm certainly no specialist but I have discovered recently that depending on your knowledge of php and sql it can sometimes be a whole lot easier (quicker!) to write something of your own than modify or tweak other peoples scripts.

I'd be grateful if you let us know how you decide to crack this one!
