MS SQL Encryption
Does it exist?

We use an ASP.net function to encrypt data as it is entered into our MS SQL database, then we decrypt it when we display the info on a web page.

I was wondering if there is a built in MS SQL feature that could do this instead?

SQL Server 2005 onwards supports native encryption, see the books online
