MySQL data type for UK address
How many characters should I have room for?

How many characters do you typically allow for in a MySQL database field for a UK address?

I would suggest staying safe and allowing as much as possible. There are benefits to keeping values small, however I think it is a greater importance to have correct information. I would suggest varchar(255) however I am sure some would disagree. I know in the States I have encountered an address that was over 100 before multiple times on a site.
