Hey,

I built a website using a web builder and I am trying to customize the banner color of the template but when I adjust the code it changes the color in Firefox but not IE.

The following is the code.

<!DOCTYPE HTML>
<html>
<head>
<link href="_media/Styles/theme-style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

<!--[if lt IE 9]>
<script src="http://html5shiv.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/html5.js"></script>
<![endif]-->

</head>

<body>

<div class="top-style"></div>

<!--<div style="background-color:#143656;
background: -webkit-radial-gradient(50% 948px, circle, rgb(105, 127, 147) 20%, rgb(51, 51, 102) 75%);
background: -moz-radial-gradient(50% 948px, circle, rgb(105, 127, 147) 20%, rgb(51, 51, 102) 75%);
background: -ms-radial-gradient(50% 948px, circle, rgb(105, 127, 147) 20%, rgb(51, 51, 102) 75%);
background: -o-radial-gradient(50% 948px, circle, rgb(105, 127, 147) 20%, rgb(51, 51, 102) 75%);
background: radial-gradient(50% 948px, circle, rgb(105, 127, 147) 20%, rgb(51, 51, 102) 75%);
height:400px;
position:absolute;
top:84px;
width:100%;
z-index:-1;
-moz-box-shadow: inset 0 0 10px #000000;
-webkit-box-shadow: inset 0 0 10px #000000;

in Firefox but not IE.

... and what about Opera and Webkit?

<!DOCTYPE HTML>
<html>
<head>
<link href="_media/Styles/theme-style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

<!--[if lt IE 9]>
<script src="http://html5shiv.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/html5.js"></script>
<![endif]-->

Do browsers < IE9 even do HTML 5? What happens in the script? Where is it called?

Does every single line of your quoted code have to be present for the problem to occur? Conversely, does any of the quoted code have to be present? If not, when does the difference kick in?

IE10 has support for CSS gradients. Older versions require using their filter mechanism (which I don't believe includes radial gradients anyway).
