Suckerfish Horizontal Menu

5+ Year Member

Msg#: 4422745 posted 6:43 pm on Feb 28, 2012 (gmt 0)
Hi All,
I'm trying to create a 2 level horizontal menu with Suckerfish, the problem is it has to be a specific width, but each sub-nav will need to be the same width, with varying number of elements.

See my code/example on jsFiddle - http://jsfiddle.net/squirrelradio/VVqtq/

If you mouse over item #4 I've tried to center the li elements under the list, but there is space at the end, I'm not sure why the auto padding isn't working correctly.

Hi absolutshrk and welcome to css :)

auto isn't an allowed value for padding (unlike margin). You need to set a length or a percentage - see more at 8.4 Padding properties: 'padding-top', 'padding-right', 'padding-bottom', 'padding-left', and 'padding' [w3.org]
