A (belated) reminder that the 2011 countdown [24ways.org] is now in it's ... 18th day. Just enough time to catch up before the holidays.

Lucy's reference to css3 backgrounds in a recent thread reminded me Lea Verou had done a nice readable article on using gradients to produce patterned backgrounds [24ways.org]. Also, fonts came up a number of times this year, and Jon Hicks did an interesting piece on displaying icons with fonts and data-attributes [24ways.org]

Anyone using these yet ... or likely to?
