[Wordpress, Joomla] Theme with rich graphics (gym, fitness, sport)

Msg#: 4648229 posted 1:04 am on Feb 23, 2014 (gmt 0)

I've found out that most WordPress themes are very minimalistic in terms of graphics. They only contain basic elements + usually large animated slider (taking half of screen), which is not what I'm looking for. Such themes are not really useful if you don't have truly professional, beautiful images to populate sliders and image rotators. Perhaps I might have more luck with Joomla?

I need really well designed, beautiful, rich in graphics theme with premium support if possible. Topic is: gym, fitness, sport in general and classic company presentation.

Where may I found such themes? There are so, so many websites that offer Wordpress and Joomla themes so I'm really struggling here since I've never really deeply investigated them. I know that Themeforest is good, are there any other good alternatives?

Thanks for help.

Each of those themes has alternate home pages as well as inner pages suitable for a gallery, blog, blog with left side menus & widgets, blog with right side menus & widgets, about us page formats, services pages format etcetera. Sometimes one of the alternate pages is best for the home page, the Our Services page becomes the article hub page, and the About Us page layout is suitable for the individual article pages. The layouts that come with a theme are the eggs, baking power, butter and flour. It's up to you to turn them into pancakes.

You can also comment out or completely remove the slider carousel and hack the template to make it look the way you want it. In fact, there are a number of mobile first templates that are free plain vanilla skeleton layouts that can be elaborated on to make them look in the manner that suits your purpose.

I never use a template out of the box without changing the CSS and layout in some way or another, whether it's WordPress or a forum software, the template will get changed for SEO, crawling and aesthetic reasons.

Choose your CMS technology according to your needs. WordPress is easy to hack (knowing basic PHP, CSS, HTML is useful).
