SOLVED IT. I needed to 1. Go to chromes tools (Wrench) 2. Options 3. Under the hood 4. Content settings 5. Pop Ups 6. Manage exceptions 7. Add my joomla site to the exceptions. Now the selection window work just spiffily. chris

Thanks for the solution. Does this mean that your visitors need to do this? Or everyone with edit privs?

ergophobe.. My sites are pretty basic. I don't have them adding content. I"m glad you brought that up though because if I add things like comments or the ability to add articles, I'll have to check from a copy of chrome that is set to the default pop up settings (/runon sentence) I was encountering the problem in the admin control panel.

That's what I thought from your initial comment, but figured I'd ask just for reference. Thanks.

Do you have the cache plug-in enabled? I have had similar problems because the pages were cached.

I don't use Joomla. I was thanking you on principle for taking the time to post a solution you found (pet peeve of mine when people don't). So I haven't had this issue personally, cached or not :-)
