Link Structure for a Portal with many modules
With huge modules

Will this be a good idea to decide the link structure of a portal well in advance which will provide many modules like:

Photo Gallery
Video Gallery
Product Comparison
Custom Module 1
Custom Module 2

If Yes, can someone shred ideas on areas of importance from above list and the url structure of same ?

The only advice I would give is think like a user, not like a piece of software.

In other words, I wouldn't base my URL structure off my server architecture, but off my information architecutre.

Here is a good article oriented toward "the small site" but the principles are good
