Good Wordpress Gallery Plugin

 7:13 pm on Sep 1, 2010 (gmt 0)

Any recommendations on a solid plugin for WP that will allow me to post galleries easily? I found nextgen and that delivers what I want except for one thing, I don't like how they handle the thumbnails. I want the thumbnails to link to their own page, not a popup window with black background.

Anyway know a plugin that does that, or how to hack nextgen to do this? Thanks!

Use Nextgen using Image Browser. Go into visual editor, click the nexgen shortcode box, and select to display your gallery as image browser, this will display each photo on its own page, with next and previous buttons.

thanks for the reply, that's not quite what i'm looking for. I was hoping to have thumbnails on a page and they click on the thumbnails to open up a full sized photo on it's own page.

I can almost get to this point with options, however it still shows the content above the gallery. For example, if my blog post looked like this:

NextGen Thumb Gallery

I'd want to click on a thumb from the gallery and open it full size on it's own page. However, right now when I click on it, the page looks like this...

Full Sized Image

Which of course looks weird. If you know of any hacks around that, it would be great. Thanks!
