|Can we have a customized title in Joomla 1.5|
| 11:19 am on Sep 9, 2009 (gmt 0)|
I know, the subject of the post is little basic but there is more into it.
I have a Joomla based site with all the "recommended" extension integrated into it.
I have also installed "SH404sef" and "Alias for page title" to make the site more SEO friendly.
I have a news update page which I created using "Section in a Blog format" menu item type.
Every time a news is posted here, the page title changes to the title of the news displayed at the bottom of the page.
I would like to have a static title for this page, example "Sea Food News and Updates" and should not change with every new news posting.
How can this be done?
All suggestions are welcome :)

Here's how to make a Title "Stick" in Joomla 1.5:
Go to Menus-> Main Menu
Click on "Home"
Look for Paramaters (System) in the right column
Type in the Page Title you want.
Now when a new article comes up, the Title will stay the same on your home page.

Thanks travelin cat for the suggestion.
I tried it but the page title still shows the title of the last news on the page.

kinley, try cleaning the cache in SH404sef. We have 3 sites set up like this, so I'm not sure why it is not working on your setup.

travelin cat, tried this too!
I noticed, when the "alias for title" plug-in is temporarily disabled, the tile of the said page corrects automatically.
I cannot forgo this plug-in as it is a good help otherwise.
