Not sure whether this should be an ecommerce question...

I'm not looking for the best - just whether anyone has experience of a cms/ecommerce package that can competantly handle all or similar to the below requirements (with or without plugins):

CMS
Custom design/navigation etc
Paid sign-up section
e-commerce section
Take donations
Online gallery
(Blog) - could be separate?
Some sort of email management for sending updates to select groups of subscribers

I have limited experience of wordpress and didnt really like it - it seemed quite slow. Used oscommerce about 4 years ago and hated it - seemed so cumbersone. But I wondered about Magento, largely because I'm unfamiliar with e-commerce and wanted to feel safe there.

I can program so it doesnt need to be the simplest...

Thanks.

Having looked around a little more, Drupal with ecommerce module looks OK. Can't face further research so I'm tempted to just go with that.

Does anybody have experience that suggests this would be a bad idea?

Joomla integrated with Community Builder will help you offer paid content.

agree with kinely, joomla with joomfish (multilinguality), you will find a lot of extensions to use for the other functionalities which u need

Thanks for your suggestions.

I know joomla v drupal is an old chestnut.

Is there anything about it that makes it more suitable for my requirements than drupal?
