Creating Lists in a WordPress Page?

 12:05 pm on Oct 31, 2008 (gmt 0)

I'm trying to create a directory of niche businesses on my WordPress based website. It would be ideal if there was some sort of a plug-in/solution that will let me embed a dynamic list in a Page within my WordPress theme...

What can I do to achieve this?

What sort of dynamic list did you have in mind?

Hi Bill, thanks for the reply.

I thought that a table where you can click the headings for re-sorting would be nice. I couldn't find such a feature. I settled for normal HTML table. I simply created the list in Excel, then copy/paste'd it to WordPress and it formatted nicely. The alternating row colors were copied as well. The addition of Advanced TinyMCE, which supports tables, might have helped, but I'm not sure.

There are a number of sortable table solutions in javascript, but I don't know of any WP plugins per se.

Alex Rabe's "wp-table" plugin used to do this, but AFAIK he has stopped developing at 2.4 and has no plans to update. You might be able to hire someone to update it to 2.7.
