Blogs management system
Something to get everything in place

I run a network of blogs, 8 to be precise and have a team of six writers. The blogs run on Movable type. I am looking for a system where all the writers can communicate among themselves, decide on the stories to write to based on a digg type voting system plus there would be reports which would tell the number of writeups done etc.

Is there something on similar grounds already in place?

I'm not sure precisely.

You could probably do something with Drigg and a drupal forum where only "authors" and above had access to the forum and the drigg voting. Not sure how it works exactly though and I'm not sure how you integrate with MT.

You could run the eight blogs off a single drupal install too if you wanted to move from MT, but I assume that you don't want to do that.
