I want to have my joomla site to be in different languages, what is the easiest way of doing. Note, I wouldn't prefer automatic translations. Hab

Automatic translations (read: machine translations) should never be an option you would consider. Machine translations simply aren't even close to being usable. They may never be. Hire a professional translator and a local copywriter. Get the site translated and then have a copywriter who understands your business and the local market rewrite the site to appeal to the local market. For local SEO purposes it is often a good idea to put local content on a country domain (i.e., Japanese - .jp, Simplified Chinese - .cn, etc.) Unfortunately I'm not sure how you would do this in Joomla. Can Joomla handle multiple sites from one install?

jaztuck, if you are looking for a solution to the problem I stated above, you should look into Joom!Fish. Joom!Fish - Multilingual Content Manager

You cannot have multiple sites from one joomla install out of the box. There are some add-ons that allow this but i havent used them. I use either wordpress MU or drupal for that.

If you're considering Joomla! 1.5, keep an eye on http://www.nooku.org

Further, I've not see the code, but I've heard from a good source that Nooku http://www.nooku.org/ is in itself a framework. Given that Joomla already has a framework I got a thinkin' and I believe this multi-lingual release may be the tip of the iceberg for writing further extensions that work in many languages. If this is the case this means that your multi-site want list might well be served by a suped up version of Nooku. I am guessing but that's the logic which comes from an old coder's mind.
