Anyone using the ecommerce plug-ins for Joomla? A bit of advice would be great!

Yeah, i use the virtuemart e-commerce. It helps you manage an unlimited number of products and categories, you can use it as a shop/online catalog and sell downloadable products.

We use VirtueMart a lot. Fairly easy to use....I'm no tech guru, but can follow the admin menu structure, and doco of the product fairly easily. If you're whole site is just about eComm, I find osCommerce a bit more comprehensive in terms of cart features (VirtueMart is a bit simpler / easier)....but as with CMS' its kinda horses for courses.
