Multi-site CMS (with tags?)

I run about ten different football player fansites. The news sometimes crosses, (with match reports, club news, etc) but also sometimes doesn't.

I am looking for a CMS that can have ten differetn 'homepages' (I can redirect to it anyway so no problem there, but think I need one which will allow me to use 'tags'. By this I mean the del.ic.ious version of tags - where I stipulate that a certain page lists all news with a certain tag (eg 'Adriano') (and you can have multiple tags per article.

I have played with mambo and a few others but can't seem to get anywhere with it. I have MySql and can do PHP, etc, but am not up to a complete overhaul of a CMS.

Does anyone know of a good CMS that could help me. I've tried most of the ones that have been recommended so far (in this forum) but with no luck.

You might take a look at Drupal. You can run multiple sites off of one code install.

Once you understand the concepts of drupal's categorization it's easy to categorize pages with the 'taxonomy' system.

You can then set up individual category pages which collect all of those pages in the category. Pages can also belong to multiple categories and in several different heirarchies. There are some powerful plug-ins to manipulate categories even more as well.
