msg:4479623 | 11:29 pm on Jul 27, 2012 (gmt 0) | Hello everyone, I am trying to send DMCA takedown notices for multiple infringements of one image. The infringements have been perpetrated by multiple culprits on various websites and I have had mixed success with hosts and providers. At the moment I have hit the following snags and was wondering if anyone can shed any light. I just can't contact these people. I have tried contacting contacts in whois information, Alexa contact information, Squido email support, used onsite forms without success and more. I did receive one auto acknowledgment from Squidoo support on the 13/07/2012 EST and it is now the 28th and there have been no followups made by Squidoo. So my question regarding Squidoo is: who can I complain to about Squidoo? I understand under the act, an agent's contact must be made available by hosts and other providers for purposes of receiving takedown notices.
2. The second issue is with a protected domain services provider based in the USA: I emailed this provider after hitting a brick wall trying to find the hosting DNS server. They responded but only offered to their paid service to generate and send a notice. Aren't they also bound by the DMCA? Or can they profit on this?
