478 MEPs voted against, with 39 for, 165 abstentions
|The European Parliament has voted to reject the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (Acta). |
|Outside the EU, the treaty also had the support of the US, Australia, Canada, Japan, Morocco, New Zealand, Singapore and South Korea. |
|However, following significant protests, several countries chose not to back the treaty. |

This is good news for internet users (IMHO): no providers policing users' traffic with DPI, no further consolidation of today's retarded copyright laws.
@RonPK, agreed. Its a law by big business, for big business, and like a lot of legislation is bad for everyone else (consumers, small biz)
