If you need to blast press releases using a software, you are most probably missing the whole PR thingy..

Well doesn't it make sense to have it blasted everywhere? What am I missing?

The off the shelf press release submission softwares are loaded with mostly low quality sites which may not bring you either distribution or link equity.

A better way to do it IMHO is to submit to just top 5 to 6 quality sites. These have distribution tie-ups with major news outlets like Yahoo News, AP, etc as well as leading journalists and bloggers.

It costs $$ but it's all about risks versus returns; if a story goes viral, you can gain significantly greater distribution. Additionally, the backlink is stronger.
