You're not giving much here that helps anyone get an insight into your current set up! Without an understanding of organisational structures how can anyone provide advice? Who creates this unique and exclusive content? Is it done inside the organisation or are you contracting third parties to provide it for you. If you have 'unique and exclusive' content - and you're a publisher of general news - then where do the news reporters that you want to hire fit in? Are you looking to expand your news coverage, break into new sectors, provide greater depth in existing sectors - what exactly? Need a bit more info from you... Syzygy

Erku.. honestly and directly it depends on many variables and needs. I think that what you need is not input from a bunch of strangers on a message board, you need to seek out and engage an advisory board for your business.

Firstly, variety is very important in both print as well as visual media or say any media. If you ask the reporters to cover top news that could be more than profitable since that will attract readers, but if you ask them to stick to certain topics, it'll make it monotonous and you'll lose on your readers.
