FTC to Examine Possible Support of News Organizations
Rupert Murdoch: News Business Based on Internet Advertising Dead

WASHINGTON –The head of the Federal Trade Commission said Tuesday the agency will study whether government should aid struggling news organizations, which are suffering from a collapse in advertising revenues as the internet upends their centuries-old business model.

I am curious to know what the future of news will look like. Will it become a sea of blogs that require careful screening to determine validity? Or will traditional news organizations continue to operate? What business model is going to be profitable?

Sounds like "Bailout" can a news organization like Rupert's be trusted?
