I want to create a simple game that will go viral and make me a millionaire (!) but for no money (!)

What kind of open-source tools are there to create simple games for websites?

Simple? Open source? Javascript.

Next would be Flash, but since you're asking for open source and free, try Swish.

You could also learn Java (not -script) but this requires the users allow Java applets, something many will not. But if they are looking for games, they might.

Let us know when you hit your first mil. :-)

Not really aimed at people LOOKING for games. More like there's a cool game that they never knew they were going to find. So cool they want to forward it on to their pals... = me = millionaire!

But seriously, thanks for tip. Will look at Swish and let you know re. the million... hell, BILLION :-)

Looking at Swish it looks like you pay, rather than open source.

Am I missing something?
