The firm Attributor says they have rolled out the "world’s first Web content monitoring and analysis platform." The service is said to have the ability to see how and where original content is copied across the Internet.

For 'original' read 'first web publication' - they have no way of knowing who actually owns the copyright of an article, merely who published it online first.

Interesting as far as it goes, but not the legal last word.

I wonder how their claim holds up to long-established market leaders copyscape?

Disappointing to find no prices on their site, not even indicative ones. They lost me as a potential client right there.

Quadrille & Idolw: Unless this company claims 'instant spidering' ... their claim merely means 'first web publication that our spider found online'.
