| Is integrating Facebook comments useful? does it work? |

msg:4414214 | 2:01 pm on Feb 4, 2012 (gmt 0) | A year or two ago all the big sites were integrating FB comments, now I don't see any with it. What happened? Did it not work well technically? Did no one use it? Did it siphon off traffic to FB? I'm looking into it for a new site, with the goal of engaging users and bringing them in from FB. Any suggestions?

My community members were all on Facebook anyway, and by doing more with integration now FB is a major traffic source. Be sure to enable traffic drivers like sharing on FB for actions like joining, posting a new thread, etc.

I should have been more specific: I'm asking about embedding the FB "comments" component through FB connect (http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/comments/) - has anyone found this useful or problematic?
