I noticed when doing an analysis of the growth of Facebook and Bebo on Google insights.... Bebo fell off a cliff back in 2008 in the UK, right at the time when facebook had an inflection point - knocking Bebo down a hill from there on.
Anyone know how facebook managed to do that in UK? Apparently they went "agressive" in 2008. I would be interested to understand what tactics they had to wipe out Bebo at that particular point in time given the fact Bebo had a very strong foothold with UK schools and colleges already...
Just found this.... Words from Peter Thiel. I too am a great believer that the success is mostly attributed to the person driving it. I like the fact that he takes bold moves (even though they have got him into trouble several times) - where most would hesitate or procrastinate.
