When should SEO be optimized with a new vBulletin forum

I am in the process of setting up my first vBulletin forum.

I am planning on using vBSEO as well, however, I am not sure how long it will take to modify the site to my tastes (I am installing the full 4.0 publishing suite).

My question is: Are there any costs/benefits I will see by installing vBSEO from the start as opposed to waiting until I am satisfied with the setup and look of the forum?

Thanks

It will be easier for you to get everything set-up the way you want it before your forum is active, so I would vote for implementing vBSEO from the start.

Now that 4.0 is up and running, doesn't it eliminate the need for an add-on like vbSEO?

vBulletin is getting better for out-of-the-box SEO, but vBSEO still has a massive control panel for SEO tweaking.
