Twitter users will soon be able to make short phone calls for free directly through the micro-blogging service. JaJah, an Internet telephony company that allows you to make VoIP calls using your landline or cell phone, today is launching the beta version of its new Twitter calling service, named @call.
I can already make unlimited voip calls for free to over 100 countries on my land line ..and my cell phone is already for making phone calls :) ..and I use neither of them to twitter ..( and if I did I'd have to pay the telco to send the sms ..so "free" appears to be hype for re-inventing the wheel ..but ersatz shinier and double the cost ) ..marketing a la starbucks ..
so ..presumably it will be "opt in" for the recipient , otherwise there are going to be very( squared) many people who are exdirectory ( for the brits ) ( liste rouge ..chez moi )( unlisted ..for the "merkins" )..who may be very surprised to get the .. "Hey..In response to your tweet ! I just rang you to say .............."
