Twitter Blocking IP
Finally found a way to use it that our customers like and now we're blocked

So I finally found a way to use Twitter that my users like and that they use. We run a network of sites and got an API setup to post to Twitter when an administrator posts an update on one of the sites and when various daily routines happen. It’s not spammy, it’s only our customers who follow us and we’re not soliciting other followers.

Well, now it appears our IP is blocked from posting to Twitter. The API works from development and local servers but not from the primary web and database servers the APIs were being posted from.

What triggers an API block and is there anything that can be done to remove it?

COuld your script have been hitting the api for more than the limit? If you do, you don't get the data and if you continue hitting the api after your limit is expired, it *can* lead to a block.

Contact Twitter is the only way. I have not heard of a short answer to that yet.
