I am thinking about cloaking but have a few questions

Hi there,

I have been looking into cloaking/phantom pages for a few months and I think I would like to give it a try. I have a few questions:

1) Should the phantom domain that points to the real domain be on a different host than my real domain?

2) Has any one used (snip)? I know there are others some cheaper and much more expensive. Would anyone have any recommendations or can I even do this myself?

I know some people are strongly against cloaking, some are for it and some have mixed feelings. Ive done a bit of research and if the worst case scenario is that my phantom domain gets blocked by google... then I don't mind giving it a try.

It depends on how paranoid you are. It certainly wouldn't hurt.

your reasons for cloaking are probably more important than the mechanism for doing so...

Hey Thanks everyone!

I am new to SEO but I am really loving it! I come from a design background but I am now realizing the web is more about SEO than just pretty pages.

I have been using cpc google ads, linking with blogs, and optimizing my pages but I think I may just take a risk and try the cloaking and see how it goes... fingers crossed.
