Is cgi as good as php for aff link cloaking? I see recommendations for php but what about cgi? Moncao msg:3488313 2:04 pm on Oct 26, 2007 (gmt 0) I saw a thread below I could not reply to because the subject had been closed (date expired) suggesting a php script to take people on your site to the affiliate landing page. Any reason cgi will not do as well? Maybe even less suspicious to SE's than php?

CGI (I guess you mean perl) or PHP, it really doesn't matter. Neither is "suspicious" to search engines. Dynamic content is very common on the web :) Moncao msg:3489041 8:09 am on Oct 27, 2007 (gmt 0)
Thanks volatilegx Yes, Perl based cgi redirects.
