Yahoo CEO touts mobile, Japan business
Asked about Yahoo Japan and the company's other Asian assets, Mayer said, “Yahoo Japan is strategic for us.” It was a somewhat striking statement given the widely-held belief that Yahoo was trying to liquidate its Asian assets.
The company recently agreed to sell back some of its stake in Alibaba in China. Gillis said he still thinks selling Yahoo Japan is part of the plan. |
