Infoseek Rakuten to switch to Google SERPs

Google has made an incredible amount of headway in the Japanese search and portal market of late. They went from a clear 2nd place with little hope of overtaking the leader, Yahoo Japan, to dominating Japanese language SERPs. Here's the latest Japanese portal to make the switch to Google:

Rakuten Switches Portal Search Backend To Google [asiajin.com]

Rakuten, Japanís huge online mall, announced on 10th that they are to use Google search on their portal Infoseek Rakuten.


Rakuten also agrees [J] with Google to use Google AdSense on several services, such like Infoseek, Rakuten Toolbar and Zenryaku Profile.
